Method

How SCENA ZNANOSTI is made

One rule: the genre is never hidden. A preprint is a preprint, a reviewed paper is a reviewed paper, and a press release is a press release.

SCENA ZNANOSTI — Method
Network notice. This is an independent edition inside the GNK ASG network. The main site is gnk-asg.hr; the list of all editions is at gnk-asg.hr/en/network. The publisher is AKTUAL MEDIA d.o.o., and every text in the network is listed at AKTUAL MEDIA — network of editions. Editor and director: Nermin Sefić.

The desk does not run research or peer-review papers. It carries published documents and marks what is peer-reviewed and what is not.

01Checks before publishing

We check that the paper exists, whether it was reviewed, what the sample is, and whether it was later corrected or retracted. If it was retracted, that is part of the story, not a detail to erase.

02What we do not do

We do not translate press releases as results, we do not publish numbers without a source, and we do not use the word “proven” for a single study.

Every source below is public and checkable. Where a page cites a figure, the figure comes from one of these documents — and the document has a date.
